Human Space Solutions (HSS) provides business consulting services. HSS is a small, woman-owned business established in 2018. The company’s owners have many years of experience in both the public and private sectors. We may utilize experts from an extensive network of seasoned professionals, depending on what a particular job requires.
Kim Human, Principal Owner
Kim is a management consultant and CPA who has worked with clients in the hospitality, oil and gas and real estate development industries. Kim’s specialty is improving efficiency through process management and application of technology; and linking those efficiencies to the organization’s accounting process. Prior to her consulting work, Kim worked for a national CPA firm and a leading aerospace engineering firm. As a consultant, Kim worked with a software engineer to develop, test and release custom designed software for the operations of a destination spa. During her free time, Kim enjoys family time, yoga and her 3 year old rescue dog Penny Lane.
Ken Human, Managing Partner
Ken is retired from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) where he worked for many years in management and as an attorney and Chief Counsel. He also worked with the 4 international partners in the International Space Station Program; and was an Associate Director at the largest rocket propulsion testing facility in the free world. After leaving NASA, he was rehired to lead a team of executives at Goddard Space Flight Center. Ken’s team developed a plan to improve organizational relationships. After that, he was asked to transform the NASA legal office from a loose coalition of field center offices into a centrally managed national enterprise with one budget. He also planned and established a “legal operations” office to handle all the non-legal business matters. Ken enjoys biking and hiking and is dedicated to staying active.
